To GSRA members,

After 30 years of running in Group S, I have decided to hang up the driving suit. (March 1994 Castrol Classic at PI was the start and the March 2023 PI meeting was my final meeting)
Looking back, a lot has changed with tracks opening (Wakefield, Morgan Park) and tracks closing (Amaroo, Oran Park). Group Sb was just getting going in the early 90s, no Sc. Many people and cars have come and gone. The formation of the GSRA and all the hard work by the committees has transformed the category into the professional group it is today. Congratulations to all involved.
I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute. As some of you know, my late wife Sue was my inspiration. The last few years have not been the same without her yelling at me to go faster, etc. Winning the inaugural Presidents Cup in 2019 was a real highlight for Sue and I, as was being honoured with Life Membership at the last Phillip Island meeting.
I have met so many great people in historic racing and have wonderful memories.
I would like to thank you all and wish you well with your Group S racing endeavours.
